The very best fine dining establishment in KW.

Beautiful restaurant. I had amazing service (which I expect for the high prices of food).
I took my mom out, we ordered 2 different apps, entrees, and desserts and we both loved them all (of course we sampled each others).
I however know of many great restaurants in the area that I would not return to this one (unless someone else was paying the bill)
Definitely worth a try if youve never been!

The service is excellent but the food is not worth paying for.
15 dollars for a salad smaller than my fist is a huge disappointment.(ate there two years ago)
It was a jicama , asian pear salad with dungeness(sp) crab. Where was the crab? there was just two very small slivers on the plate.
I had a full course meal and still left hungry.

Great food and ambiance well done Verses

I have eaten at Verses on several occassions. I have never had a bad experience at this place. In fact it is one of the few places I always feel so confident about the level of food and service, that I bring my out of town clients to this place all the time. The owners of this restaurant clearly care about the food and service that I cannot believe that if you were dissatisfied with your meal that something would not have been done. This does not make any sense to me. Also the service is the best in the city. The front of the house staff clearly know what they are doing and are professionals.

I had the worst meal of my life at Verses. The food is average at best, the service is by far the worst aspect of the restaurant. I requested my beef, well done, when I received it the meat was rare. I sent it back, it came back the same (they kept on reheating it in the microwave!!) the staff did not have the decency to even offer us a dessert menu, never checked how the meal was going, we had to approach them to get the bill. They did not even offer a discount off the price although we were clearly disatisfied, and did not touch the meat! Don't waste your money!!

I was so disappointed by the food and service my husband and I received at Verses. I will never return, and I advise no one else eat's there, unless they love to waste money on food and service you would expect to receive at mcdonalds.

Attended a wedding at Verses on the weekend. A beautiful venue, amazing food and incredible service. This restaurant knows what they are doing. Great staff

I cannot believe that anyone would think this restaurant is snobby!!??? I have been there once in the past year and when I returned this past weekend the staff all remembered me and all came to my table to welcome me back. The place was packed on both visits. I personally find it nice to see the same faces when I return to a restaurant. I also find the food here to be very inventive and worth every penny to dine here. The ambiance, food and service is 5 star

First visit to Verses on Saturday evening and had an amazing experience. This
is truly fine dining at its best. So lucky to have this restaurant right in our back yard. Keep up the good work Verses

Went to Verses for the first time on Valentines evening. Food was incredible,
ambiance was very romantic (nice to have tables far apart), great music, and the service was the friendliest and best I have had in a while. The staff look after all the smallest of details. Great job Verses!!!!!

Went to Verses today to try the three course luncheon they now offer. It was amazing. Warm goat cheese salad with beet sorbet and red onion jam....to die for, shrimp was the main course (cooked to perfection) and an amazing chocolate dessert...wow!!!!! And the service was impeccible as well as the beautiful decor. All in all a fabulous experience. We will be back!!!!

I have been to Verses on a number of occasions and have never been dissatisfied with anything. Everything is done to perfection. They are always willing to customize your meal however you like. Deb and the gang are excellent! If you enjoy Verses you would also enjoy Charbrie's in Waterloo, slightly less formal but similar caliber food. Another favourite that few have seemed to discover is The Art Bar at the Centre in the Square, a very small place but the food is amazing. Bon apetit!

Are we the only people to be so impressed by Verses? Are there no other similar testimonials? If so how do I see them? If not where do I find anything comparable to Verses ...We've done all remotely comparable we know from Janet Lynn's Blackshop,Langdon Hall,trio,22 King St w.to Hannah's Benjamin's etc. etc. etc. Thanks for any valid input

Without doubt the closest to 5 star of any restaurant in Waterloo region or west of Toronto we've discovered in decades of diligent weekly trying. Having now tried most of the menu, we've yet to be dissapointed in the presentation,portions or professional but personal and discreet service. We only hope the menu expands or changes soon with new delights to enjoy.
